Megan K. Crosbie Joins Fresno County Young Lawyers Board of Directors
March 26, 2014 — Miles Sears & Eanni is pleased to announced that attorney Megan K. Crosbie will serve on the Fresno County Young Lawyers Board of Directors. Ms. Crosbie will serve a two year term and will assist with the planning and execution of FCYLA events, fundraisers and services. Fresno County Young Lawyers provides programs and services that benefit the community and young lawyers with the purpose of stimulating the interest of young lawyers in the State Bar and assisting in their professional and leadership advancement.

Richard C. Watters of Miles, Sears, & Eanni Settles Injured Carpenter’s Case for $4.5 Million
February 26, 2014 — Richard C. Watters has settled Frank L. Lathrop and Romelia A. Lathrop v. Michael R. Tolladay Corporation et al. The case involved an industrial accident in Clovis, California where Mr. Lathrop, while placing plywood, fell through an unsecured plywood covering and landed 20 feet below on the cement. Mr. Lathrop suffered a traumatic brain injury and various serious fractures.
Aida S. Macedo of Miles, Sears, & Eanni Joins the Board of Directors of Central California Legal Services, Inc.
February 23, 2014 — Aida S. Macedo has joined the Board of Directors of Central California Legal Services, Inc. (CCLS). CCLS is a non-profit law firm providing free legal assistance to low income families and individuals throughout the Central Valley. Ms. Macedo will serve a three year term and, along with the board, is responsible for determining policies, setting goals, approving the annual budget and raising funds for the organization.
Miles, Sears, & Eanni’s Richard C. Watters Represents Helicopter Fall Victim’s Spouse
February 12, 2014 — Richard C. Watters represents Julie Krogen for the wrongful death of her husband after falling forty feet from a helicopter being flown by the California Air National Guard during a counter drug operation in the Sequoia National Forest. Read more.

January 6, 2014 — Ms. Macedo graduated from the University of California at Davis School of Law in 2011 and the University of California, Irvine in 2007. See announcement in the local newspaper here.

December 23, 2013 — Miles, Sears, & Eanni is representing Nick Burriel, Jr. in connection with severe injuries he sustained in an assault at the Elbow Room restaurant in November 2013. The case has been covered in local news here and here.

January 2013 — Megan K. Crosbie joins Miles, Sears, & Eanni as an Associate. Ms. Crosbie graduated from Santa Clara University School of Law in 2012 and California Polytechnic State University in 2009.
Miles, Sears & Eanni Recognized by California State Assembly for Participation in Operation Gobble 2012 and Support of Local Community
November 15, 2012 — Miles, Sears & Eanni’s support of Operation Gobble helped purchase turkeys distributed to local schools, non-profits, and churches in the 31st Assembly District. Due in part to Miles, Sears & Eanni’s support of Operation Gobble 2012 more than 21,600 people had a hot Thanksgiving dinner this year.
