Douglas Gordon, an attorney at Miles, Sears & Eanni, recently participated in Capitol Hill Lobbying Day through the Federal Bar Association to advocate for vital support for the Eastern District of California’s federal courts. Douglas joined other legal professionals to meet with legislators and discuss the critical need for additional federal judges and resources to address the district’s growing caseload.
The Eastern District of California has one of the highest caseloads in the nation, which has led to significant challenges for both judges and litigants. As a result, delays in case resolutions have become an increasing concern. Douglas’s participation in Capitol Hill Lobbying Day focused on securing additional judicial appointments and resources to help improve the efficiency and accessibility of the courts.
Through his advocacy, Douglas continues to demonstrate his commitment to improving the judicial system, ensuring that cases are resolved in a timely manner, and making the court system more accessible. His efforts reflect his dedication to the legal community and the individuals who rely on a well-functioning, fair system of justice.
At Miles, Sears & Eanni, we’re proud of Douglas’s leadership and his ongoing efforts to push for improvements that benefit not only his clients but also the entire legal community in the Central Valley.
