Miles, Sears & Eanni attorney Richard Watters recently reached a $1,000,000 settlement in the wrongful death case Richardson v. JCT Trucking, Inc., et al filed in Fresno County. The case settled for the full $1 million of insurance coverage.
Decedent Gerald Richardson was driving a 1974 Ford Bronco when a driver, within the course and scope of his employment with JCT Trucking, Inc. and JAG Transportation, Inc., made a left hand turn in front of Mr. Richardson resulting in collision. Mr. Richardson passed away from his injuries. There was a dispute between each side’s expert witnesses as to whether Mr. Richardson was wearing his lap belt and if it would have made a difference in his injuries and subsequent death. The case settled for the full policy limits of $1,000,000.
